Somerlyn Cothran, President and CEO of Cothran Development Strategies based in Ada, has been selected as one of the 2012 Oklahoma Achievers Under 40 by the Journal Record.
The Journal Record is honoring 39 individuals, out of hundreds of nominations, from across the state dedicated to moving Oklahoma forward.
“At 34 years old, Somerlyn Cothran has built an extremely successful political fundraising and national association management business that employees a dozen people with high-end salaries. She works with presidential candidates and Forbes 500 CEO’s on a daily basis and manages between 10-15 national trade associations and political fundraising efforts at any given time,” said Continental Resources CEO Harold Hamm. “I have known her for years, both professionally and personally and she has accomplished more in 11 years as a woman business owner and entrepreneur than most people (man or woman) do in a professional lifetime. This is a much-deserved honor.”
